Well it's still another 2 1/2 months until we leave for Paris, and I'm enjoying going through some of my books and travel DVDs.I have the Paris City of Lights one (Museum City Series) which I really enjoy (although it's a bit low budget), and I have the Globe Trekker DVD. Paris is a superbly cast film with Juliette Binoche as the sister of the ill Pierre (Romain Duris). Pierre spends his last days on his balcony viewin the people of Paris below, whose lives we as viewers come to know and view during the film. It's about Paris the city of Lights, and the people who inhabit it/5().
Overall, this was an enjoyable and informative documentary. However, I would not rely solely on this for planning a trip to Paris (if that's what you want to do, purchase Rick Steves France DVD and Blu-Ray ). This was more of a discussion about French culture than a trip planning guide.
